Kind Words from our Community
Ayama & Sophy

My rescue dog, Sophy, and I have been working with Dr. Genie Joseph for just over four years now. When Sophy, likely a rescue from a puppy mill situation, first came to me, she was totally shut down in ways I could not begin to understand. I had no idea how to train her. But, by the grace of whatever, Genie came into our lives, and since then, both Sophy and I have made great progress together.
One of the biggest components of our training sessions with Genie is Genie’s capacity to communicate with Sophy. As I often did not understand Sophy’s behaviors I had so many questions about what was going on with her. Luckily, I have been able to ask Genie to communicate with Sophy for some insights. One example; just recently Sophy began to sleep in another room instead of sleeping in our bedroom. Having no idea what was going on with her, I asked Genie to ask Sophy about this during our next training session. Genie checked in with Sophy about this new sleeping arrangement, and Sophy said she just wanted to check out a different environment…like taking a vacation at home, so to speak. This was a huge relief to me, as I had thought I had done something to make her leave.
At the beginning of our sessions, Genie asks Sophy how she’s been doing and often Genie starts to laugh after a bit, reporting that Sophy has informed her “I’ve been busy.” And then, Sophy will tell Genie about some of her ongoing spiritual projects. It’s become clear through these Sophy/Genie conversations that Sophy has a very rich inner life.
In all the questions I have asked over these months and now years, Genie has seemed totally adept using this form of communication. The information that Genie has given to me from Sophy has been immensely helpful in understanding Sophy, her needs, and how to move forward in bonding with her and training her.
From my experience, I feel animal communication is an amazing tool for anyone who has pets or works with animals. I am so grateful to have found Genie…both Sophy and I greatly benefit from her incredible skill in the modality of communication with animals. She has been such a gift for us!

Working with Genie Joseph has been both clarifying and deeply supportive. What I appreciate most is not only what she communicates about the animal's experience, but how she communicates it. The way she speaks to and about animals feels deeply compassionate —asking consent, attuning to their needs, and honoring their dignity. Her words often reveal what my dog is feeling or needing, which is incredibly helpful, especially during times of behavioral challenge or change. But just as importantly, her respectful and relational way of speaking reinforces and reminds me how to listen more deeply myself. Genie’s presence brings something both grounding and sacred to the experience of animal communication, and I’m grateful for the care and clarity she brings.
Afton & Charlotte the Donkey

I had been fascinated by the concept of communicating with animals ever since horses came to me in my sleep every night with a message to save them and make them a home. I began right away and started an equine rescue, and the horses kept coming and coming and coming. Soon after I began this adventure I was contacted by Genie Joseph, she wanted to come out and see my rescue and the animals. I had a donkey named Charlotte that was losing weight because she was being bullied by the other donkeys and not getting her fair share of food. I was planning to adopt her out to a family who had some horses, but no donkeys. Charlotte did not want to get in the trailer and no amount of coaxing from me worked. Genie arrived in the middle of this, she came up to me and said she talked to Charlotte, and Charlotte said she didn't want to go. Charlotte said, “I don't want to leave my friends". She said she wanted to stay but in the pen with the llama, where she could see the other donkeys, but get her fair share of food. The truth of this hit me like a swift kick from a donkey and I immediately stopped and put Charlotte back in the pen with the llama. Charlotte thrived in this new situation and became my main reading donkey. She would come out of her shelter when young kids came. She would put her head on their shoulder or their lap while they read to her, bringing smiles and joy to lots of kids that come to visit her. I have since always relied on Genie's insight and her ability to communicate with the animals to help me whenever I needed to understand what an animal was thinking.

I have been fortunate to have had many readings with Genie for several different animals, both alive and in spirit. Genie's love for animals, her passion for her work, and her compassionate spirit come through so clearly in her readings, and she always makes me feel supported and cared for. Genie's style of delivering accurate and meaningful messages with love and a little bit of humor is a perfect match for me and my animals. I am so grateful for the work Genie does, not only to help me deepen my own relationships with my animals, but also to make the world a better place.
