Soothing Touch for Animals
A gentle, loving way to support the animals who share your life
Just like people, animals can become overwhelmed, tense, or unsettled. And often, the most powerful way we can help them return to ease is through calm, intentional contact.
This experiential class introduces simple touch-based practices that communicate safety, reassurance, and care in a way animals instinctively understand. Each technique takes only moments to apply, yet can noticeably improve your animal’s comfort, emotional state, and sense of connection with you.
These methods are especially supportive for animals who are nervous, aging, highly perceptive, or easily overstimulated—but they are equally valuable for any animal and person wanting a deeper, more peaceful bond.
In this class, you will discover:
- Seven practical Soothing Touch methods you can use in everyday moments
- Why gentle contact has a regulating effect on the nervous system
- How touch can strengthen trust and deepen your relationship with your animal
- The natural calming effect this practice has on both you and your animal
A therapy/service dog will be present for demonstration, allowing you to observe how animals respond when these techniques are applied.
